Judgment Day — Outpouring of Beer Industry Sexual Abuse Allegations on Instagram Sparks Questions of Guilt, Innocence, and Legal Vulnerability — Good Beer Hunting
A gofundme for the person who runs the IG account that people were submitting to has raised $16k in legal fee funds for them, which is fantastic. I cannot imagine how terrible that persons life is now from all the accused likely blowing up her DM's with threats.
To be honest, I was also unimpressed with Shaun Hills statement. The fact that he insisted the whole statement be published in the report was a questionable decision.
It’s been pretty well known that Shaun hill is a prick, I think. I remember a profile piece on him where he said he is a bad partner and kinda miserable to be around.
I'm not sure what my favorite brand is, but my favorite type of beer is easily the IPA. The first IPA I ever had was a Mudshark and I fell in love with the taste from then on.
nothing coming from Shaun Hill is surprising from what I’ve heard from folks more in the know than myself
I think the only person in the industry i would be let down by us if something came out about John Kimmich at the alchemist.
Shaun's statement fucking sucked. As someone who has long subscribed to the 'this guy sounds like an asshole wait no he's just misunderstood and cares a lot about doing beer the right way and that's why he comes off as condescending in interviews' line of thinking, the lack of apology, lawyer/philosopher speak just reads so phony. Don't have much thought on it beyond that at the moment.
The thing that bothers me a lot about this is people saying “but he’s a good guy he paid his staff the entire time during covid.” Shaun Hill can still do a good deed like that and be held accountable for some abhorrent behavior. The excerpts about him and Jean and the pils&love comment should have been acknowledged at a minimum.
