How’d you like this beer? I’ve been tempted to get it a few times but I’ve always decided on something else
It's decent. Probably would give it a 3.75 out of 5. Very drinkable. And I'm appreciating beers with lower abvs lately.
Thanks! If I keep it simple I can get good shots. I come up with these complex ideas and I'm not a good enough photographer to execute them sometimes so it's really hit or miss lol.
Usually not, we used to jokingly say that we liked making beer while everyone else took the week off. But mostly it's that our brewer is pretty DIY and my ever increasing social anxiety generally disinterests us from events like that Not saying the company won't go eventually, but that'll be when Zach and I reach the point where we can pay for our co-workers to go for us haha
Got some friends into Tired Hands so we’ve been trading off picking up/ordering the past few weeks. This week we got Little Log Cabin Cozy and the DDH Heist Decoder collab with Monkish. Two of the better TH releases I’ve had in a while
That about sums up my feelings haha. It’ll be tough getting used to festivals again whenever they happen. That’s so good haha. I had an idea with our brewer to do a swellers named beer because we both love the band but he took a new job.
@DontTellMom love this one, my wife says "in a blind test, you'd be able to guess the flavors" which is a good sign as we've had plenty of beers that don't quite taste as advertised.
That poor website is so neglected. Try www.instagram.com/NewgrassBrewing for a better look at what we do haha
Speaking of all the Newgrass love... Yesterday, I drank this with a friend at a beautiful park in Marin. Peaches are front and center but there’s a nice grassy/earthy funk underneath for added complexity. Acidity level is on the money. Super grateful to have had the opportunity to try this one, thanks for sending @phaynes12 ! @DontTellMom can you tell me a bit more about how this one was made? Was it done in stainless or barrel-aged?
Local shop had a drop from the alchemist. Got two heady toppers and two focal bangers. For a long time I had heady as the best beer I've ever had. It was my first true "premiere" craft beer or whatever. I still enjoy it a ton. Focal banger is probably better. And ive had a bunch of beer that's probably better overall or at least my tastes have changed. But it will always be a special beer to me. So I'll always grab it if I can.
Awesome! Thank you to @phaynes12 for sending that one out! Endless Storm was built from raw wheat, naked oats, specialty Pilsner grains, and spelt. We then refermented it on nearly 400lbs of Peaches from a local farm in stainless, and then bottle conditioned in 750mL green glass bottles. Glad you enjoyed it, our brewer had always been super proud of that release.
Looking forward to trying all of these! Thanks @irthesteve If I wasn't so hungover I'd be drinking that Study Break tonight, it sounds super delicious. Also very intrigued by the Canbic
Glad they made it safe! Hopefully it's a mix of breweries and beers you haven't had before. I've been to all 7 of the breweries before so I can vouch for quality. The canbic is definitely a cool one, Beachwood calls it the first canned lambic, but I can't confirm nor deny the truth
