I’m not complaining about the price of OBL when it’s one of the best lagers there is. It’s also ~$12 or $3/can, which really isn’t bad.
I live in Georgia, and we don’t exactly get much cold weather here but I finally saw my first snow flakes of the year. That means it’s stout weather, this one aged in rye and bourbon barrels with raw coconut, toasted coconut and cocoa nibs.
That’s one of the ones from the package I sent him Such a good beer, Moonlight is way underrated. I had Tipple, their wet-hopped winter ale, the other night, and it was dope. Sounds odd on paper but the hops and malt actually balanced really well.
I work at Creature Comforts and we make a beer based on Death and Taxes called The Silent World. It will be out again in the spring if you need any for research.
That name sounded vaguely familiar so I checked my Untappd and I actually had it on draft somewhere when I visited Atlanta a couple years ago. I’d be lying if I said I remembered it very well, but it looks like I liked it. I’d def be interested in trying it again
Just looked Halfway Crooks up and they sound awesome. I was really impressed by Three Taverns back when I visited Georgia. Their space is really cool too, almost has kind of a speakeasy vibe. A lot of people like Orpheus, and they do make good beer, but their space sucked. Maybe they’ve upgraded now. Wrecking Bar was cool too.
Good haul: Sudwerk w collab Lead Dog- Timber Tantrum 3xIPA Device- Goodnight Kiss(pastry stout w/chocolate fish coffee, vanilla, and cocoa nibs) Revision- Cloud Cuddles NE Hazy IPA Revision- Invitation To Party Hazy Double IPA
Halfway Crooks is awesome. I'll trek over to Atlanta every couple of months just to load up on their stuff. Orpheus hasn't upgraded anything. It's the most awkward brewery layout I've ever seen.
