My supervisor gave me a big bottle of La Fin Du Monde which is always appreciated she must have overhead me saying it was my favorite beer
Stumbled upon this article in the NA Beer group that I'm in. Honestly, stoked that this is a thing that doesn't destroy flavor profiles. Non-alcoholic beer is catching on in Colorado — and this time, it actually tastes good
Cheers! Really happy that you found Precipice - that beer has been getting rave reviews since it hit the market. (I loved it myself) Enjoy!
This is outstanding, I’ve yet to have a less than great beer from Schilling. The Burlington coffee porter was fantastic as well.
I’m reading a book right now about the history of lager and I gotta say Schilling does a great job of trying to recreate some older and regional styles. It’s been nice to see them distribute to NYC. Still need to try Alexander though.
They’re fantastic and their brewery looks really cool too, I need to make it up there once it’s safe. I really like how they explore lesser known/regional styles like you mentioned while still making killer pilsners and other common styles. What’s the name of the book? It sounds like something I’d enjoy.
I wish bocks were more common, one of my favorite styles when done well. I think I’m going to get a 4-pack of this tomorrow.
Book is called A Brief History of Lager by Mark Dredge. If you like history and beer, it’s a solid book. Learned far more about the origins of Oktoberfest and how the industrial revolution impacted brewing than I thought possible.
I was a history major and I’m a beer nerd so that is right up my alley. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it.
I’m not a big lager guy (except for schwarzbier) but even I really like what I’ve tried of Schilling. Just really well done beers. Ive had a Sierra Nevada Celebration and split a St. Bernardus Christmas Ale with my stepmom so far. That St. Bernardus is even better than I remembered.
