merry Christmas!!!! This is a perfect west coast IPA w/ spruce tips and juniper berries from Eastern Market Brewing Co. Extremely my shit.
Happy holidays! @sean_rugy this is the last one of the beers you sent me, and it’s awesome! Thanks so much, you did a spectacular job. At 4.7%, it drinks like a grisette, apricot is in the background, but I just love the flavor. Super crushable but still complex. I’m a Threes convert and will definitely visit whenever I can visit my family in NY again
I made it seem cooler than it is, long story short i accidently got postmates credit and used it for a liquor store
Got the clear from my gastroenterologist that I can drink again, so had my first alcoholic beer in four months. Not planning on going back on full-alcoholic, due to the nature of the med I'm on, but it's nice knowing that I can treat myself here and there.
I was stoked for this one. Imperial bourbon-fired maple pecan apple strudel sour ale brewed with apple puree, bourbon-fired cinnamon sticks, bourbon-fired pecans, maple syrup, yellow cake and buttercream frosting. 9%. I love dessert stouts and porters, but I thought this was just a smidge too heavy for me as a sour. I feel bad even complaining, as the taste is lovely and unbelievable they were able to hide nine percent. Also, I'm running out of interesting places to take pictures.
Had a quick work trip to Richmond last week and I should've picked up the Hardywood beers at low prices.
Tried my first sour pumpkin beer today. It was interesting...a bit jarring at first because it was pretty heavily spiced, esp nutmeg. But it grew on me. For me, better than the sweet cinnamon-y ones.
If anyone is looking for some good beer shipments, Threes delivers to pretty many states for a flat rate. They have a lot of great east coast beers in their online shop at all times, and they recently added mixed variety packs. DTC (Shipping): aside from our home state of New York, we're currently shipping beer to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington D.C. More states are on the way.
Can’t thank you enough for letting me know about this! I’m putting together an order as we speak. The Threes’ beers @sean_rugy sent me were awesome!
Got a lot of things coming my way from Threes. Looking forward to it! Also signed up for their monthly beer subscription where they send you 2 bottles/month Also wanna shout out an up-and-coming brewery down in the San Diego area, Stave and Nail. Really been wanting to try some of their stuff and they had some holiday bottle releases that could be shipped, so I decided to order some. But There was an issue with Square; it wouldn’t let me check out with the delivery method being shipping. So I reached out to them just to let them know what was happening and to secure my bottles. And they decided to wave the $20 shipping cost! Great customer service there, I’ll update the thread as I taste through the beers.
Threes just announced that they are opening up a Long Island site. Really happy to see them thriving during these time when there are a lot of sad stories about breweries and bottle shops on the brink.
The one thing I'm happy about getting the green light on alcohol is being able to go to Treehouse. Never been, but want to bad.
