Are Threes Brewing's beers pretty solid? I keep getting sponsored ads from them on Facebook so I'm curious.
Three's is starting distro in Michigan very soon (next week, I think??) and I'm very excited to check out what they offer.
They ship out here and have a great selection on their webstore, but their pricing is a little higher than/on par with my locals. Was just curious if it's worth it.
Threes is great and definitely one of the more varied breweries in NYC. Logical Conclusion and Vliet are classics.
Agree with @sean_rugy that Vliet (pilsner) and Logical Conclusion (ipa) are their two core beers. They do have a pretty impressive saison program where none of their bottled offerings are bad. I would give anything they have a try - their floor is fairly high.
Honestly I do not like them at all. In fact, I don't really like any of the larger philly breweries. Tired Hands is the best and incredible. But manyunk, conshohocken, yards, etc are all bad to average imo.
And to bring it back to beer glasses... People just buy crazy glasses for the pics they obviously aren't practical
id agree really, adding evil twin to that list. not even fair to compare any of them to tired hands. in yards defense tho i remember their shit on draft being pretty good when i visited and the filthy hazy ipa is also surprisingly really good imo.
Def gonna order this one. I’ve been eyeing it but felt it was a bit pricey. Also yikes, I thought I was more in the 350-400 range. Especially because I don’t always check in beers I’ve tried before.
I thought the gin barrel aging really made a difference, you can taste the bitterness and it works well with the stone fruit flavors
