happens every time! don't even know why I look to see what they released - I know I'm gonna be bummed! hahah
It’s really good! The cans I have are a few months old so I’m sure it’s even better fresh. Not quite as good as Allagash White (what is?) but I will definitely seek this out in the future.
At what point do you think beer starts to deteriorate. I wonder if Id be able to tell the difference between a fresh can and a two month old can
Heard some bad news about a friend’s dad today. Cracking open the Mikkeller Vanilla Shake and the BCBS Cafe de Olla and maybe other bottles tonight, haha
Depends on the style what Waking said. Tho tbh as a person in the industry the main thing to look out for is it going flat. Going from cold to warm back to cold is the number one way for this to happen. Imo tho you can still drink a beer 2-4 months past it’s shelf life. It’s more for “quality” control we use dates.
Yeah it totally depends on style, I had a barleywine at Stone a year or so ago that was from like, 2006 or some shit and it was honestly amazing
Every time I see that beer I think of the War Hungry song Empire of Idols. And say the name in a similar way.
Old Irving Cinnamon Prost - white stout with cinnamon, vanilla, and lactose. About as close to CTC as you can get and it’s delicious.
Another in the long list of Chicagoland breweries I miss. This sounds great. Their brewpub also had really good wings. Miss those too.
