If anyone ever has a chance to try Cigar City Humidor Series IPA do it. I had one for the first time in years today at the brewery, and it was a nice reminder that it is probably my favorite beer ever. They still won't be making it regularly because they do not have access to cedar like they used to, but I was happy to see it and drink it again.
So I tried KBS on tap lat night and I was very underwhelmed. I love Founders regualr breakfast stout but the KBS just isn't for me. I've never tried a barrel ahed beer that I really enjoyed.
Worth noting that Breakfast Stout and KBS are two different beers. The base beer in KBS is a different stout than Breakfast Stout.
In at a bachelor party all day and need to pace. Whatre your go-to cheap pacing beers? I got Bud Light
if I'm deliberately seeking out a session beer for all day drinking: classics are - founders all day, firestone easy jack, ballast point even keel, stone go to, sierra nevada summeriest (in the summer). but lately been into sour/gose's as sessions
If I recall correctly that's the case. I could be wrong, though. Out of curiosity, what other BBA stouts have you had that you haven't liked any?
I went to Troegs Bewery yesterday and had their bourbon barrel-aged Teogenator. One of the best I've tasted in a while.
Finally made it to the Jack's Abby brewery. So much closer than I thought, so I'm sure I'll be back there a lot. Excess is so so so so so tasty. I liked the 3x hopped Hoponius a lot as well.
Dogfish Head's Romantic Chemistry went down the gullet tonight. Quite tasty and probably my favorite packaging art in a long time.
@elphshelf I love love love the packaging but I was a little disappointed in the flavor. It was good, but probably not something I'b buy again. However, in my local grocery store, attached to the display for this beer was some free posters from Dogfish Head. I took both of them.
I grabbed Elysian's Space Dust IPA today. Did not realize they have a Pineapple Habanero Sour, as well.
Went to a Belching Beaver brewery in San Diego. Tried the Dammed! double IPA and the pina colada IPA. Both were great.
Anyone ever tried anything by Freedom? Think its American. They do a really nice Pale Ale and a really nice lager. Only ever found one pub that serves it...
There's a Freedom Brewery in the UK that does a really good pale ale and lager...Don't know where you're from though. Welcome to Freedom Brewery
I'm from the UK. Can't access that site at work, but thats probably the same one then - not sure why I thought it might be American... So good isn't it?
not necessarily a cheap one, but the wedding I went to this week had All Day IPA as one of the selections so i was drinking that for the whole day. they had lager, coors/miller lite, all day, and woodchuck. pretty good selection for an open bar.
just got really lucky and a Total Wine near me has Whoops on their growler station. so pumped, especially as it's getting really hot down here again.
Well I'm American but live in Canada lol, but yeah I've had their oatmeal stout which I liked, nothing special though. I thought about getting the original organic one at the store the other day but passed it up for a Granville Island Pale Ale (meh), Nine Locks ESB (not bad), and Gahan House IPA (real solid), the last two of which are Dartmouth/Halifax breweries.
