love a blonde or IPA with coffee, as opposed to a traditional stout. good morning vietnam from wooden robot and evening joe from catawba are great
also are people planning on mixing and matching stuff for the trades, or just a 4/6 pack of one thing?
im gonna mix and match, im planning on sending 4-6 different beers depending on if they're 12 oz or 16 oz cans or bottles
in my mind it would be more of a $$ range than number of beers, and I would talk to the person ahead of time to see what they like, or have any specific preferences. I would tend to say that I would want to at least mostly match the amount of money being spent on both sides of the trade
Bhramari Delicate Cycle IPA. i’m not super knowledgeable about hops but this kind of tastes unlike any other IPA i’ve had. pretty floral but crisp. into it. apparently has galaxy and enigma hops but idk what that means
hello! jeppe is a wild man. they had a sour IPA brewed with energy drink syrup that tasted just like a red bull lol sometimes you just gotta go with it.
X on d haha, that would be a hard pass for me. Though I am certainly of the mindset that I love when breweries at least go for it, even if the result kinda sucks. The Bruery made a beer that tasted exactly like coca cola/pepsi... I didn't particularly like it, but I was very impressed haha
For NE IPAs? Burial, Resident Culture, Heist (right down the road from you), New Anthem, and Newgrass are all considered to be some of NC's best hazy IPA breweries. We're starting to slow down on our IPA production despite that being a huge part of our business these past few years. It's such a crowded field and there are like 100+ breweries in NC making them now. We'll keep making our most popular styles and a few fun one-offs every so often but more focused on trying to stand out from the general local market, through creativity and uniqueness, as much as possible
Also on the west coast, but in NorCal. If you’re at all interested in trading some Suarez, I would be super stoked. Have only had one or two of their beers, but they were incredible. Could send back whatever you’re interested in, but Sante Adairius in Santa Cruz makes amazing mixed-ferm saisons. Saison Bernice is my desert island beer. Also do other styles well (great hybrid IPAs) In terms of trading with people, we’re really lucky in the Bay Area. Some amazing bottle shops and breweries nearby. Really depends on what styles my trading buddy would be interested in, but Cellarmaker, Alvarado Street, Sante Adairius, Rare Barrel, Modern Times, Russian River, Moonraker are just a few I can think of off the top of my head!
Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to Suarez Oct 9. Just gonna get a bit of everything. Def will be willing to trade.
Galaxy hops rule. Prob the most expensive hop on the market, grown in Australia. Might be the most sought after hop on the market. To me, most Galaxy smells like ripe peaches and stone fruits. Enigma is a solid background hop. I think it plays well to elevate better, fruitier hops in ipas.
