When I make my new england trip in gonna trade with @irthesteve so I can get some of those west coast beers

Going to Suarez family next month and am excited for that

 

yeah, i mean, i haven't heard of those, but it seems popular enough in here. @DontTellMom what would be the closest to those in the area? burial?

Haha yeah, it’s at the point where I’ve stopped going to local beer stores and just do TH delivery/pickup and Tavour to try stuff that doesn’t make it around here. Definitely a must visit if you’re a beer fan and around the area

 

first time having this. pretty enjoyable

 

it sucks I got super into craft beer right as the pandemic hit haha. the only breweries I was able to go to were evil genius and yards

 

I should make a trip to the local beer spot soon. They were getting a lot of Hoof Hearted in pre-quarantine that was great

 

on neshaminy creek its personally 1 of my favorite philly breweries for me so idk lol i just really love shapes of hops to come. got some in my fridge atm actually lol

im drinking this pumpkin beer by 2 roads rn tho, imo is better then most of the other pumpkin beers ive tried this year.

 

Both great spots, though! Even if I was disappointed in EG’s beer (and the weird shit they did around the protests), the atmosphere was cool

 

hit me up ahead of your trip and we can figure something cool out for sure

 

I might just be spoiled by it, the Borough Brewhouse is like 5 minutes away (when it could open anyway) and we always got shitty service and I felt like the taps weren’t clean. Shape is probably their best beer outside of the aged stouts though

 

Hmm best philly area breweries...tired hands obviously. But im luke warm on yards, neshimany, manyunk, evil genius, conshohocken

Re: the hazy convo if y’all could all sip Revision. All their beers are amazing, but not sure how far they distribute.

 

Conshohocken has some good beers. Some pretty whack ones though

 

I think I said this before in here but I’d say 90%+ of the breweries around here all make beer that tastes exactly the same. Manayunk, Conshy, Love City, Nesh Creek, Chestnut Hill, Naked, Broken Goblet. Outside of 1-2 staples or outliers, I don’t think I could pass a taste test

Not that they’re bad (drink local and all that), but I know what I’m going to get every time I walk into one of them. Double Ipa that is too bitter to finish, crushable saison, watery coffee porter, “hazy” ipa, too tart sour

 

philly just has sooooooo many. not nearly as many here in St. Louis but the ones I’ve gotten into are pretty damn good

 

I had an interview set up with Conshohocken a few years ago and the dude ghosted me. I had a blonde they made with coffee back in 2016 that was decent though.

Also I’d love to take part in the beer sharing group, and send you all the beers I distribute. Though honestly I’m very intimidated by the packaging that goes into shipping beer across the country.

Manayunk had a decent Peanut Butter Porter

Evil Twin’s distribution system is wild. You can walk into any random Liquor store in nowheresville Jersey and find 20+ different cans

 

I actually went to Manayunk for NYE a few years ago and that porter was pretty much all I drank haha

 

I meant to try the manayunk peanut butter porter but never got around to it

 

My wife’s sister had her 21st there 2-3 years ago and it was a miserable experience haha. I got an ipa, slugged as much as I could and then switched to overpriced vodka tonics
