I think cascades price point turned off lots of mid Michigan beer drinkers (Lansing was 5 years behind the curve; had two breweries in the city as recently as 2015! It’s the capital of the state with the largest number of undergraduates in the state too! Sorry frustrated at that city) so I think cascade struggled hard and now we don’t get much from them. Certainly never seen cascade cans or 500 mls here!
Oh yeah I spend way more than I should whenever I go to Tree House and Novare Res, absolutely no judgment.
I always think about it in cost per ounce. This is 64 oz for $46, which equates works out to under $20 for a bomber (25 oz). I think it's just something we're gonna see be more common as breweries move toward canning their higher ABV beers
I'm going to New England in March and plan on spending 500 bucks at least across tree house, trillium and the alchemist and whatever else is in my path Edit: looks like hill farmstead is pretty close to where I'll be in Vermont so it will be an expensive beer trip
The TH Vanilla Mango Triple is very good. My favorite Milkshake in quite some time. I felt like some of the last few fruits were a little too artificial tasting
Dang you went to Arvon I take it? Haha. I wish I could get them easier. Stoked to have Wax Wings here but they sell out like a mofo cause their system is so small.
Damn! I wish the west side got some. Did you see the City Built homage to run the jewels? Going to be mixed 4-packs, three double NEIPA’s and a fruited lactose sour. Only getting some GR distro. Even reached out to my buddy who works there and he said he couldn’t help me out either haha.
Would anyone be interested in setting up a monthly beer exchange in this thread? once a month whoever wants to participate will be partnered with someone else and send 4 or 6 beers to each other and rotate each month? feel like it’d be fun and allow people to try regional stuff they normally wouldn’t get their hands on.
First pumpkin brew of the season for me. I actually really enjoy it but it’s def more of that pumpkin spice taste than real pumpkin
In theory I love the idea of a beer exchange, but I wouldn't quite be able to commit to doing it every month. But in theory.... I am interested
Maybe we could post each month and see who’s interested in participating that particular month, if there’s enough interest.
yeah you don’t have to participate every month and you’ll have the whole month to get something together and send it. not planning on any hard deadlines, just send a pack to your partner within 30 days of being assigned and that’s about it. talk to each other about style preferences and all that and go beer hunting and await your beer. honestly sounds fun as fuck I’m glad I thought of it
