Man both Metropolitan and Dovetail make some dope Helles Lagers.

Drinking the former and just picked up a mixed lager pack from the latter for Cubs opener: regular, Helles, Vienna, and Hefeweizen

got a job back here in st louis at a pizza place/brewing company. peel wood fired pizza/peel brewing co for anyone curious. seems like you can only get their beer on tap at their restaurants but im excited to try it out. will report back when i get a chance to taste some of it

 

Saturday is gin day

 

Lol i just picked up a Negroni to-go pack from a gastropub type restaurant, and it is now Gin Saturday here.

 

I used to have to trade so hard to get Speedway bottles, now it even sits on my local shelves *in cans* and never moves.

Patience could've saved me thousands in shipping considering what gets distro'd now

went to Tree House on Thursday - felt extremely safe and it was nice to get out of the house. going up and back in one day was a little rough though.

Where did you come from? I live in Jersey near Philly and was thinking about it but thats 10 hrs in the car.

All the Tree House I have in my fridge right now are stouts but it’s too hot outside for me to want a stout

i was planning on going up there sometime this summer before i abruptly had to move out of philly

 

Tree House was on my list of places I wanted to visit when I was in Worcester for Have Heart last summer, but the brother negged that one pretty quickly. :/

 

It's only worth going to from the philly area if you are willing to spend 250 bucks at least.

I went last fall and the line was about an hour. Some people only bought like four cans. Yeah they were probably local but geez.

 

Heading to the UP to camp in Marquette this weekend. First time up there in like 15 years for me. Excited to hit up blackrocks. Any other brewery stops i should make along the way?

Probably won’t be stopping between royal oak and cheboygan but we will by camping around cheboygan Friday might and then heading to Marquette Saturday morning. So basically anything along the cheboygan-Marquette trail.

 

Ahh I see. In the UP, I’ve only been to Blackrocks and ore dock both in marquette. If I were heading up north, I’d try to squeeze a trip to Austin brothers in but heading east to alpena is a jaunt and a half outta the way.

 

Ah yea, i wish we were heading that way. Love their beer.
But I’ll be sure to check out ore dock then as well. Thanks
