Nice! So I dig (we’ll dug, cause it was a couple years ago) their BBA stout that I’m forgetting the name of. Their sour beers were some of my first sour beers I tried from outside Michigan and I thought they were great but I was inexperienced with sours at the time.
Anyone else get pangs of nostalgia when drinking West Coast style IPAs in our NEIPA world nowadays? Drinking this one from Alesmith right now as watch the baseball opener, makes me feel like I’m back in college discovering craft beer through Lagunitas and Rev and the like instead of enduring another pandemic era day
Alesmith .394 pale is still one of my favorite pale ales, although I haven’t seen it around as much since I left SD after I graduated.
Whereabouts are you? If you ever see Speedway Stout, I’d highly recommend it. Just a great example of an imperial coffee stout!
Speedway stout basically dies on shelves all over Michigan. It’s great and really under appreciated by the Midwest market, imo.
Pickle beers seem to be all the rage right now. I've never had one, and have no desire to try one, but kind of feel obligated.
I had a pickle sour last summer and it was pretty good, one pint was plenty though. I was also very drunk after seeing Japanese Breakfast so that likely had something to do with it.
Shit, I had a Bottle Logic Ghost Proton last night and I am hungover as hell today. BA S'Mores Stout. Was so damn good.
My current works summer season is a cucumber Kolsch and it’s awful. I hate cucumbers and pickles so much.
I love cucumber drinks. I've had a cucumber gose before that was good. But cucumber margs, cucumber seltzer, etc
Speedway Stout was at every Binny's for around a year before I left the area. It was a shelf turd there TBH.
Think I also added all of you fellas on Untappd so I'm excited to have my mediocre palette skewered by you all.
Think I added basically everyone who put their Untappd handle in the last few pages of the thread. Looking forward to see what you all are drinking.
While on the topic of cucumber beers, 10 Barrell's Cucumber Crush is fantastic. For a local NYC option, Folksbier's Cucumber Lime Glow Up is such a summer crusher.
I am stting outside... at Grimm. the road is busy as shit and I’m getting blasted by exhaust but I do not care. small steps ya’ll. I am so happy to be back here.
