unfortunately no, there were sooooooo many great breweries out there and i really only got into the craft game in the last six months so i was still trying to get to everything when i suddenly had to move back to STL haha. im gonna go back out to visit when im ready though so i'll get a chance to get around to more philly area stuff some day. my favorite recent discovery i made before i moved was new trail, which is way out in the middle of nowhere PA but they had good distro to the southeastern area it seemed like. everything i had by them was top notch.
Just had a New Trail today! Lightning Bug. Delicious. Yea PA's got a lot of good stuff, but distro is spotty. There's some amazing Pittsburgh beer that I'll pick up once or twice a year when I'm out there, but It never make it towards the Valley/Philly.
E9 Brewing doesn’t get talked about much, but they make really good farmhouse and wild ales. Just finished their Nectarberry Farmhouse and was super impressed!
if anyone uses untapp’d at all my username is jakej654 by the way. just revived an old account a month or two ago and trying to use it to document everything new I try
Added you also! Feel free to keep posting pics in here as well, we've been having fun posting the shit we drink during quarantine. It's been entertaining for me at least ha
I don't use untappd but any of you can follow me on IG where I usually post what I'm drinking... Just put an order in for a couple more Bottle Logic's and finally got a Darkness on the way. Been wanting to try it for years.
seconding this. i used to live in bloomington/normal when I was in grad school and their beer was pretty revelatory to me at the time when i was getting more into craft beer. would be curious if their stuff held up after they changed with the times. i'm also swboyd on untappd. i'll add some of y'all later when i'm actually sitting down drinking beer and not "working".
I had the Destihl Moonjumper Milk Stout a couple years ago and did not enjoy it. But I know some of their other beers have been picking up steam so I might need to give them another shot.
It was really good, pretty standard for a Hazy IPA. To my knowledge, this is the first Destihl beer I've ever had (or seen around the Cleveland area for that matter).
I am CbonesBasementBeer on untappd, I have two friends, haha. A guy I worked with 13 years ago and some other random person. I had a third friend, my sister's ex-husband, but I deleted him.
It’s fun to see what other people are drinking on there, but I mostly use it as a convenient way to catalog what I drink. But I also don’t have a lot of Untappd friends either.
I think the only 2 Destihl beers I’ve tried were from back when I was using Tavour. Both were sours, but I don’t think they left a strong impression. Would be curious to try more from them!
