Tore out a shit ton of grass/weeds and threw in some mulch and flowers, so my green thumb reward was... Edit: wife was like... Did you really buy a beer called entitled... today? Now I feel bad, but I just wanted to try something new.
A local brewery I go to a lot hosted a coffee shop in their building and last week the coffee shop announced they had sold their equipment and were closing. Today the brewery announced they are going to form their own coffee shop and all the responses are calling them out. I don't really know anything about how these things work to say whether the brewery did something unethical, but it seems a lot of people think so Upon some further reading, the brewery informed the coffee shop a little over a month ago that they wouldn't be renewing their contract.
I could see it as them finding out they were going to lose their coffee shop business anyway so they started the coffee branch like a lot of breweries are doing now anyway. But if it is shady, and they forced them out, that’s fucked up
It’s an amazingly well-balanced beer. Some people are disappointed by it at first, because they expect it to be more in-your-face, but it’s so drinkable for a DIPA.
So in February 2019 my wife and I had to basically emergency move apartments in like, a day, so we're there a bunch of our shit into the garage and just yesterday I remembered... I had like 20+ bottles of a beer I brewed in 2017 that I forgot about!!! Well, I gotta say... It aged pretty damn well. Belgian Dark Strong with Peaches and Nectarines
Tired Hands dropping two absolutely insane beers today - a 14% maple coconut coffee stout and an 11% "Peach Extra Vanilla Galaxy Quardrupel Milkshake IPA."
Gonna get the ol brew gang back together dust off ol kettle next weekend. Probably something light and dryish hopefully.
grabbed a to-go beer today when I went to Evil Twin to get their first milkshake IPA they’ve brewed. this is not that but wow do I miss a good draft DIPA. cannot wait until this space is back up and running.
I went to their taproom when I was visiting Seattle and they had a lot of interesting beers on, including a few very cool mixed-ferm pale ales. Unfortunately, haven’t had the opportunity to try any of their sours (although the saisons I’ve had have been lightly tart), but that corpse reviver sounds amazing!
