I had a Homage beer the other day and it was super solid. Reminded me of SARA West Ashley.

 

Never knew Double Nickel was so unpopular haha

 

IPA with non-American ingredients. English malt, AUS/NZ hops, and kveik yeast

Buy a 4-pack of stouts from my local liquor store to ride out the snow later, was impressed they turned around canning to distro to shelf in 4 days.

Turns out it was canned January 7, 2019...

What was the grain bill on this?

Eh kind of medium-bodied, but I think it's held up pretty well fortunately.

 

That’s good to hear. I have had some like 5% stouts that hold up well and others that don’t. Can be hit and miss.

 

Ya this one is 8% so a bit more meat on it. But I basically am refusing to drink anything but stouts between now and March so i'm easy lol.

Speaking of Horus.

14.7% with dulce de leche, coffee, and maple syrup

 

Curious what your thoughts are on it. Does the dulce come through? How much booze heat?

 

The dulce absolutely comes through. All three of the adjuncts are balanced pretty well, tbh. There’s no real booze heat at all either, it’s smooth and drinks real easy.

 

Approx.
70% Maris Otter
16% White Wheat
6% Carafoam
6% Flaked Oats
2% Crystal 20

Then 2:1 Wai Iti to Galaxy hops. One charge at “whirlpool” and one dry hop charge. Voss kveik (1 Tbsp) yeast at 90* for 4 days when I noticed my heater had shut off. Kegged 3 days later.

 

Idk why I got it, but Blue Moon Coffee was absolutely awful. Tasted like someone poured a day old coffee into a day old Natty Light
