Honestly? I was kind of disappointed, especially from a place like Imprint. It was surprisingly thin and the Reese's flavor didn't come through very well at all. First beer I've ever had from there that I didn't enjoy.
Splurged on top shelf Half Acre products with a buddy in town tonight for NYE. Blonde wyld ale conditioned on Pinot noir grape pomice on the left and imperial coffee stout with vanilla on the right.
When we went a few weeks back I wasn’t completely sold on a few of the dessert stouts either. Too sweet
Celebrated NYE by going to the new Modern Times in Oakland where I had my first smoothie sour, Nectarnomicon. Then came home and currently sipping on Pruim, a lambic inspired ale with plums, from pFriem.
Yep, it opened up right before Christmas. This was my first time visiting this location, it’s an awesome spot!
I really miss Saint Arnold. I didn't love all their stuff but they put out some quality seasonal stuff. Their Christmas Ale was a fav of mine.
anyone remember the small pop-punk band With the Punches? apparently one of their members (Jesse Vadala) is the general manager at Hudson Valley Brewery.
So I just saw what i think is an approved label for black hearted a black ipa version of two hearted by bells and where do I sign up for a black ipa resurgence
clown shoes does my favorite black ipa called hoppy feet, or at least they used to i dunno if its still around but its sad i cant find it anywhere anymore. theres not enough black ipas out there its criminal
So the store I used to work at sold the most clown shoes in Michigan so we got all their special releases and their imperial stouts are severely underrated.
haha yea that makes me wish i got into the brewing field as a career. i mean i tried. but understandably brewery employers are hesitant to hire 22 year old kids that say they want to work for u cuz they really like ur product.
Missed the roll call for NYE, but I did have a nice glass of Cantillon's Cuvée St. Gilloise (2019) before a sit down dinner.
