The cedar this was aged in really comes through and complements the vanilla and coffee in a pretty incredible way
Really fantastic beer for a less than common style. Had one for Thanksgiving and cellaring another. Really curious to see what happens to the flavor profile with age.
yeah their stouts are what I go out of my way to try and trade for. I have a bunch of the recent collabs that I can’t wait to try (Niyok, BA Adjunction Junction, Observing Reason, BA Nanaimo).
I truly can’t believe how thick this thing is. And the coconut flavor/smell is wonderful. This is like a top three beer I’ve ever had, easily.
had 'Swift and Unforgiving' from Horus on Saturday and yeah, that was insanely thick too. delicious though at 16.6%.
yessir, they also had Hudson Valley on 5 taps in their speakeasy room. ordered a pizza to the brewery and had ourselves a night. really liked that Horus stout and wish I could have taken home a bottle.
I think he only brought five cases of each bottle to Other Half on Friday and they sold out like immediately. They stopped handing wristbands out on the line at 60 people. I wished I could have stayed and had a drink because he brought a keg of Proper Dose to OH and that sounded so good.
idk who said they heard the new Snowbirds at OH weren’t good but Snowbird 4 - Almond Joy is a a delight.
what I heard was that was the only good of the 4 that were released. I’m bringing mine to a bottle share on Friday and will report back
My local bar that’s not really a dive bar but most definitely isn’t craft beer focused is selling Anchor Christmas with a candy cane rim and I regret to report that it’s great.
