Made it out to a Troon release today for the first time in a long time. Usually don’t bother because I live an hour away and that’s typically how fast they sell out. Drinking 9% IPAs and eating a cheese plate. What more do you need in life?
I got there too! It lasted unnaturally long today. Probably because they didn’t tap a keg so the word didn’t get out early in the day.
A brewery downtown here made a peach lactose kettle sour with cinnamon which I thought was incredible. If a hype brewery made that beer, it’d have so much hype on it.
I saw! unfortunately can't make it anymore. it's frustrating they pushed it back, but at least they let us all know a few days ahead of time. it would've been worse if they posted on Saturday that they were pushing it back.
The sour i posted a bit back is a peach/blueberry lactose kettle sour with vanilla and nutmeg. I like it quite a bit and wish I made a bigger batch because I'm limiting how much I give away/drink haha
Don’t tell @Oddpac87 or my boss, but when our beer isn’t on tap I like to pivot to a hazy boi for lunch that supports our distributor. A lil dawn street pale ale from Ellison. @JoeyChorus knows about it
Finally getting a bike has allowed me to just swiftly mozy on over to breweries to get the good stuff rather than just settling for the liquor/grocery store. Picked up Half Acre’s Original Reaper Stout and Bourbon Barrel Aged Strong Ale Orin
my roommate’s out of town so my dad is coming to visit and crash with me. plan is to take him all over Brooklyn and visit Other Half, Threes, Evil Twin, and Grimm. he loves his beer and used to homebrew, but now doesn’t really stray from what’s mass produced or easily accessible. he’s going to lose his mind and I can’t wait to watch. and of course I’ll bringing my massive backpack along for the ride.
