Also, @dylan and other Colorado folks, go drink Upslope beers as my buddy is a brewer there now and they just won a GABF medal
Finally made it to one of the Half Acre locations and had some insane strong ale aged in port barrels, in addition to a very good dark kölsch. Even though it’s not kölsch drinking weather any more I’m v happy it really took off this year in Chicago. Rev, Begyle, and likely a couple others were offering them at festivals and it’s a great, low ABV alternative to the endless barrage of pale ales/IPAs
That's a crying shame. In general, i've noticed more friends of mine get into more beers that are either outright sours, or have more of a sour profile to them. Also had this sour from Empirical yesterday aged in bourbon barrels and that was damn good too. Too many breweries too little time.
Tbh they look like the ommegang game of thrones series Edit: never mind the GOT have colored labels on a black bottle which I forgot about.
This seems to becoming a custom. Brewing more at the Rochester plant to have midweek drops. Just wait how nuts it will be when they open up the new taproom in Williamsburg.
Literally the only thing keeping me from bankrupting myself at Other Half is the hassle of having to go into the city to get it lol so I can't even imagine.
it's honestly getting out of hand lol will finally be able to get out to Evil Twin's greenhouse taproom this weekend and I am stoked. I think they have 20 on tap right now and I just saw they're now doing crowlers.
I think my restraint nowadays is informed by the idea that I can’t drink all of the beer released. Now been seeking to quality to quantity. Then again, I’m going to Suarez next weekend which will likely be another $100+ day.
