From the last time my wife and I went and ate at the Ferm. Fish tacos, chips and queso, buff wings. So good. We also had an apple fry pie for dessert after. Seriously it’s the best food I’ve had at a brewery, only other place that comes close is Burlington Beer Co. in VT.
a guy I went to HS with is responsible for their food and the photos he posts on Instagram are out of control. sadly, we don't keep in touch but good to hear he's doing well up there! those wings though...
I may have met him while I was there, because one of the chefs was also running food out to the tables. If that was your friend I spoke to him for a bit about how great the food was and he was a really nice guy. Obviously the beer is also amazing at BBC.
@OhTheWater if you wind up going later can you give me a sitrep on how it's looking when you leave? I may want to get over there after work to grab a four of the hefeweizen and maybe some of the other releases as well but don't want to waste my time if they're running low lol
Honestly I wouldn't even be able to leave work until like 5 pm at the earliest so the later you go the better idea I'll have of what it's looking like haha
I would grab a 4-pack of Alien Church anytime I was there. Holds up to the upper echelon IPAs in NYC.
I wonder what I have not tried or what I am missing here. I haven’t really enjoyed any of the milkshake ipas I’ve had from them. I generally have enjoyed Alien Church, Prayer Group and SaisonHands. I’m not disagreeing with you, Tired Hands deserves the love, but I can’t help to think what is missing for me.
Part of it for me is the nostalgia. I went to college in the area and Tired Hands helped open my eyes to the world of beer. They’ve had some beers I’m not huge on but on the whole I dig their stuff and appreciate the experimentation. Saison Hands rules.
Was doing some cleaning the other day and just kept finding bottles of ourison within my collection. I need to reorganize everything and start drinking stuff. cellaring is becoming a nuisance.
Any breweries/beers I should be aware about in the Wheeling, West Virgina area? I'm going there for the weekend.
I would be curious if anyone here would want to share pictures of their cellar collection. I personally would be down.
Extra Vanilla Milkshake was the first shake IPA I ever had, from Tired Hands or otherwise, so it'll always have a special place in my heart. It's a good'un.
