They may have used more lactose in the shake versions because the shake versions were noticeably thicker/creamier. But yeah also just the addition of the vanilla made a big difference in the taste. Having had both versions of both beers, it felt like I was drinking something that was familiar enough but still mostly distinct when I had the shake versions.
I found my delish mango beers on sale!! Except they're gigantic and it's tough for me to drink something that large so I probably I will save them for when my friend comes over next weekend for a concert. And by gigantic I mean like a pint and not the cute soda-sized ones
Website is moving painfully slow and I'm sure it's already sold out, but there are Bokkereyder bottles for sale here: https://www.bieresgourmet.be/en/77_...cXsfXzzutuprHpJHLnj-zebWflWRdo8_imecx27nUiEfs
I had no idea this was a thing and now I need to try it. It looks like it’s more hard coffee than a coffee beer?
Lukewarm on The Alchemist and pretty much any hype brewery, but I have so much respect for them after watching this.
Finally tapped my mixed fermentation saison I brewed a couple months ago and I’m really enjoying it. I added a bottle of white wine when I kegged it and it fits really well. Will be drinking a lot of it this summer.
So I had an (albeit simple introductory phone-only) interview with a brewery today, but I’m very excited about even getting that far.
I stopped by Tree House a few months ago and was finally able to pick up a bunch of beers. The line there is ridiculous. But the beers are delicious.
Nice! My friend’s buddy was on bell’s packaging line for two years and hated it. But before he quit he won an employee homebrew competition and so he was moved to be a brewer at the brewpub. Package is such a good way to start.
Yeah, I genuinely don't mind the cleaning/sanitizing process of brewing at all, so I actually think it's work I'd enjoy. And honestly, I'd take about anything even remotely related to beer at this point. At least I know it's something I'll be happy to be a part of. Every time I send out my resume for accounting work, I die a little on the inside at the idea of going back to that stuff, lol.
I would love to have a tour or see the packaging phase of a lot of our brands. It’s honestly SUCH a crucial part of sales/brand power, and am very interested in seeing the process.
