Dope. My girlfriend used to live in LA and swears by their Hefe. They just started distro in Michigan last year and haven’t had much from them yet.
I'm like, 90% sure it's brand new. I'm within spitting distance of a few Golden Roads so it's certainly and possibly just local for now
They have their stellar reputation for a reason. Was so stoked I was able to go there while I was in Vermont back in April.
Are milkshake IPAs typically hard to find in stores? I found one from Canada but it wasn't great. That's the only one I have found at a liquor store.
Made it up to The Alchemist today and picked up some Heady Topper, Focal Banger, and Holy Cow. Sampled Kenny’s Kölsch too. Stopped by the Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury on the way home and picked up a bottle of Mikkeller Spontandryhop Simcoe. It was a good Sunday.
I’ve seen some floating around but not many. Of the few I’ve had Tired Hands is the only place with ones that were good
That brewery Icarus here in Jersey made their first two milkshake IPAs this year. The first was a shake version of their basic lactose IPA called Milkin' It, which they named Milkshakin' It. The second was a milkshake version of their popular Yacht Juice IPA, which whas called Yacht Shake. Both were phenomenal. I've also had good ones from Imprint in PA and Brix City, also in NJ. But yeah I mostly agree, I haven't really had notable ones outside the ones I mentioned and ones from Tired Hands.
My friend is having a get together on the fourth and the original brewer from my work — who left because he clashed with my boss so much — is going to come by and him, my friend and myself are gonna talk about getting a cement slab poured for a pole barn brewery type set up. Yuuussssssss
