I’m thinking of flying over to Colorado from the UK for GABF, stopping off at NY on the way as I’m a knicks fan and want to catch a game. The schedule isn’t available for a while and I don’t want to book flights/accommodation where the Knicks are on an away stretch and miss them. Is GABF likely to sell out? Similarly I don’t want to add flights and accommodation on for Colorado and then not be able to get tickets for GABF! Any advice?!
I think the more popular sessions at GABF usually sell out eventually, but I’m not sure how quickly. That being said, there is such an insane number of tickets that even if it sells out, I’d be shocked if you couldn’t easily find someone selling a ticket for the session you want on BeerAdvocate or something.
Also most, if not all, of the breweries do all kinds of special events and taps etc. for the week so that even if yo don't get a ticket to what you want there are a ton of things to do around the city for the festival
Yeah the tickets to GABF sold out last year if I remember right and in 2017 they sold out within like 4 hours. Like the others said, even if you can't get in to the sessions, the breweries all hold really cool events that week. Denver has so many things to do as well for drinking, eating, indoors entertainment, and the mountains for hiking are maybe 20-30 minutes away.

Update: apparently I'm the biggest lightweight ever or maybe it's cause I hadn't eaten yet today but I had half the beer so far and I'm a lil loopy. I feel like it's psychological lol cause usually it doesn't do anything. Maybe I'm so stressed that my brain is like just gooooo with it
Food is a huge thing. And you have said you're not a big drinker, so a low tolerance + no food will knock ya on your butt a little, lol. Even if I try to drink on an empty stomach it gets to me.
Yeah it is. I didn't eat last night and then drank like 10 beers and then went on a run at midnight and did not feel good this morning.
That huckleberry one is the only one I've been able to easily finish. Others I'm like ehhh I guess I paid for it so I'll finish. I'm uncultured!!
Just picked up the BA German Choc Stout from Ohso here in PHX. Their BA stuff is usually really good as, as is their Milkshake IPA's. Bourbon Barrel-aged Cake Eater (2019) O.H.S.O. Brewery • Stout - Imperial / Double Oatmeal • Phoenix, AZ• 13.7% ABV • 31 IBU O.H.S.O. Gilbert - This Imperial German Chocolate Cake Stout was aged in Four Roses Bourbon barrels for 10 months with real pecans, toasted coconut, and cacao.
This is the one I was waiting for. John Kimmich is my favorite person in beer, hands down. Great stuff in there with what they do for the environment. My favorite quote though isn't even in this section, it's in the proper 80 min doc that they posted a few weeks ago: "You can run a business like this. You can have an eye towards your employees. You have an eye towards the earth and the environment and still be a shrewd business person and make it all work." The Alchemist puts out less waste than a three bedroom family home and they are a commercial brewery.
Ok so now I'm trying some sort of mango beer. Idek what it is cause I couldn't understand all of what she says but it's the GOAT of all the ones I've tried so far
Haha I wish I was impressive. I had the one at lunch and now one at dinner. It's my day off tho so all bets are off!!!! Idk how people drink like six beers in one sitting. I feel so bloated and full after one.
