Just because I love talking about The Bruery, it's relevant to this conversation

Bruery has 52 beers on tap right now, 2 are IPAs
Terreux has 50 beers on tap right now, 2 are IPAs

    That's my kinda place (obvi)

It's starting to feel like every local restaurant's craft beer selection is just ten IPAs

It’s frustrating. Unfortunately, though, it’s driven by consumers. They love to sample new things but then order old standbys more often than not.

I hardly ever order a beer at a restaurant anymore unless I'm going to a place that is known for having a good selection. Don't really feel like paying $6+ for a mediocre IPA that I can get at a gas station.

Damn I’d love it if I could get an IPA for that low at a restaurant. Here in San Diego their craft will usually either be Stone or Ballast Point. So I’m usually ok with that. But I also rarely eat at restaurants that are gonna have a crap beer selection.

True, when I'm out of town I usually just search "brewpub" and check the tap lists beforehand

I mean $6 is on the lower end for something like Sierra Nevada or Harpoon or something. Most other craft are higher priced

Going to Milwaukee this weekend. Gonna hit up: Lakefront, Eagle Park, Sprecher, MobCraft, Pabst, and Miller.

Do the miller tour. I was 19 when I did it with my dad and brother and loved it despite not being able to legally drink. They took us under the streets to the tunnels they used to use for barrels way back. Very fun tour.

Unfortunately they don't do tours on Sundays! We already have other tours booked on Saturday otherwise we'd just switch our schedule up. Folks talk up the Lakefront one a lot.

The Alaskan rebrand is so good. Their new cans and packaging is gorgeous.

Picked up some Von Trapp Kölsch this weekend and it was excellent as expected. I need to stop by their brewery next time I’m in the Stowe area.

Went to Von Trapp when I was in VT back in April. Had dinner and tried a few beers, it was a good time.

This is the shit that drives me crazy. You’re releasing essentially four of the same beers. All between 6.7 and 7.9% abc, three of the beers have Citra. Boggles my mind that people will scoop all four of these at once. Like, it’s basically the same beer.

A bunch of the Subtance has hit the city recently. I try to grab it whenever I see it.
