My journey through March is nearly complete. I feel like I'm running out of options at the local stores. Definitely a lot I still haven't tried but I'm spending way more time in stores than I used to deciding on what to get. Goal is to try as many different craft beers as I can in 2019. Sibling Reverly Brewing - Tangelo Fruit Haze IPA Avery Brewing Co - Liliko'i Kepolo Maui Brewing Co - Waimea Red Reveolution Brewing Co - A Little Crazy Platform Beer Co - Blockbuster Night Melvin Brewing - Killer Bees Columbus Brewing - Uncle Rusty Platform - Mello Hello Columbus Brewing - Skateland Zaftig Brewing - Nuts For You Stout Market Garden - Citramax IPA BrewDog - Juggernaut IPA (dangerously light tasting for a 8.8%) Great Lakes - Great Lakes IPA Elysian Brewing - Dayglow IPA Platform - Haze Jude IPA Rhinegeist Brewery - Hustle IPA Victory Brewing - Golden Monkey Hi-Wire Brewing - Aerialist Spring Lager BrewDog - 5 AM Saint Columbus Brewing - Insane Wanderer Vol. 3 IPA Columbus Brewing - Fool's Gold Rouge Ales - Dead Guy Ale
I usually think they’re fine-to-good but never mindblowing. This is the best beer I’ve had from there by far. No lactose either, which is crazy considering the creaminess it has.
agreed on Cape May. I don't dislike them but they never blow me away. they have definitely gotten more experimental recently though. just was at Imprint Beer Company in Hatfield, PA. really interesting stuff and certainly good. but they're the type of brewery that would get dragged by dontdrinkbeers on instagram. just released a skittle sour beer on Friday (which was surprisingly delicious), they do "no boil IPAs," and they have a frozen beer machine. it's all delicious but definitely pushes on the definition of "beer."
Very hard for me to choose whether I like that or Heady more. I think probably Heady but Focal is incredible.
I just went to Cape May Brewing yesterday and got a four pack of the Krusty's. Very good. I'm a big Cape May fan though. I really like their IPA and Mop Water.
fantastic april fools joke. the alchemist's holy guacamole was also a really good one. they committed to it.
Had a Sanctification American Wild Ale by Russian River today and it was pretty underwhelming. But then I had the Vintage (2015) sour red by Brouwerij Rodenbach and it was god damn incredible
I like Sanctification, but it's probably the worst of the sour "-tion"s. Supplication and Temptation were 2 of the first sours I ever had and are still up there as some of my favorites. Rodenbach is always great.
