Have fun out there!
Philly people again - Hill Farmstead Double Galaxy (had it last night and it was absolutely incredible) is on tap at Monk's Cafe and Union Tap House (in Manayunk) and it looks like Fountain Porter too!
That on tap at parker pie was one of the best ipa's ive ever had
I've only had Double Citra and Double Galaxy of their single-hop series, but both of them are incredible.
Had the Nelson from Hill Farmstead, a friend of mine brought it down for me. Really great. Brought me Experimental Jetset from Foam too, also great.
My man hit me with the employee discount at the veil. Please note I don’t actually work there.
No better power move to pull as a bartender, particularly if I’m looking to up someone’s tip amount
Yeah. I’d do this shit all the time. The veil has been very good to me in the past. Love those people. Excited to see what their third anniversary beers will be.
I’ve had one of their sour candy goses or whatever. Maybe it was sour patch kids? I don’t remember. But it was impressive and absolutely nothing I would reach for again. Their social media game is on point and if/when I ever get to Richmond I’ll absolutely stop in there.
My knowledgeable beer friend brought up Tired Hands the other night so now I’m intrigued. I guess the only time he was able to get some was in the Tree House parking lot, where someone was trading. I’m going to have to try that.
it’s a pretty cool spot. They release so much new stuff that a majority of it is underwhelming but their mixed fermie™️ Stuff they’re releasing nowadays is killer. Excited to see what they bust out for their anniversary this year.
Yeah I’ve heard of people doing that in their parking lot. Just bringing coolers of beers from all over for trades. My friend is always trying to find them but never does
At a charity bottle share that has kegs from Hill Farmstead and Suarez. Normal.
Lol, forget the kegs. Just had gueuze from 1948.
Sipping on this right now. It’s absolutely incredible.
Deets, my dude. What did it taste like?!
Honestly it didn’t taste nearly as crazy as I thought it would. Tasted like most gueuze does once it hits like 5+ years. The band-aid/leathery notes just way higher than normal. Shocking amount of oak character still.
Drinking a Horus - Ospreys Fresh Catch and it rules
