Finally having some resilience. My boss bought me some. My plan was to buy them from one of my accounts thus also helping in the relief effort. I would send a case or two in, and next week it was gone.
Had a Pliny the Younger today. Went after the Man City game. Waited about 80 minutes. 70 being before the bar opened up. Took about an hour to get everyone in the line open through. Might try to make it to another release on Wednesday
it really is. i don't buy it often these days, but man, whenever it's super fresh (i'm in Florida), i'm grabbing it.
Been wanting to learn a bit more about craft beer and different styles lately and came across this Australian article recently. Pretty helpful save for the clickbaitey title You'll Be A Craft Expert After Reading This
Gonna dig into this a bit later. But if you have questions, please ask in this thread. Lots of knowledgeable people here and basically no pretentiousness that often comes with craft beer nerds.
Humble brag but my home brewed Great Lakes Christmas Ale came out so good!!! Easily top 3 batches I’ve done. The ginger and cinnamon and honey are all there and it smells soooo delicious
The brewery my girlfriend works at has a beer school for their employees on Monday nights. I get to tag along and taste and learn about beer. Sometimes i even just go without her. LOL. Pretty cool though.
1) didn’t know you were dating someone, congrats! 2) that was something the brewery I worked for wanted to do and it hasn’t happened in 2.5 years. But it also became apparent my boss doesn’t really even like beer all that much. He’s more interested these days in doing iron man competitions and just goes through the motions with beer.
I inquired about some Boston breweries in this thread a few weeks ago, but we my girl and I are for sure hitting up Trillium and Harpoon since we are staying in the city. Absolutely STOKED for the former.
Enjoy it! I’m not sure if anyone recommended it but definitely check out Night Shift if you have the chance. Just outside of Boston in Everett but they always have a great selection and the taproom is a really good time.
Night Shift might be a little out of our way as we only really have a day both before we depart to Iceland and when we return to the US. I’ll keep it in mind if we end up ya inf more time on our hands.
Haven't been to Trillium's new spot in Boston but it looks like it's a really nice place. Row 34 is right there too and they have a really good beer selection and raw bar for oysters etc. And down by Harpoon is Yankee Lobster which is a nice little fresh seafood shack. I second (third?) the Night Shift if you get a chance. If not, they do sell their stuff at some liquor stores in the area. I know my buddy used to get 4-pks of Whirlpool at the store next to the old Trillium Ft. Point location for less than they were selling them at the brewery.
