I’m shadowing at Stoneface next week and I couldn’t be more excited. I really want to get into this industry.

 

I think I'm finally going to have a crack at brewing my own beer this weekend. I've had this kit sitting in my apartment for the past couple of weeks and I think it's time. Beer Making Kit: Evil Twin Bikini Beer

christ. i'm going to a show this weekend where the venue has $2 12oz cans of LACROSSE LAGER. it's gonna be a fun night...and i will happily imbibe at the venue.

 

yeah I much prefer going to some local venues that have $3 PBR tallboys and $5 local drafts.

the high beer prices didn't seem to damper the lines for drinks at the Livenation venue. idk how people can afford those prices!

 

Please tell the venue is Thalia Hall and the artist is Japanese Breakfast b/c that’s where I’ll be

Founders barrel runner is a kick in the pants. Not quite as good as Doom but it’s something

 

Having a brewery across the street that puts out IIPAs in cans is going to kill me over the rest of the summer.

 

Foodery just opened up right across the street. They have Prairie Bomb and KBS on tap. Good bottle selection. Plus the Jolly Pumpkin/Tired Hands Alien Church collab

 

you get the craziest beers and need to share!!!!

 

All my untapped ratings are fucked I only rated stuff when I first started using it really and they’re all way too high now.

 

You haven't lived until you've given Innis & Gunn and all of the variants of that brand multiple 5-stars each. Woof. Worst ones of my check-in's.

I'd be interested to see what some of you think are your ratings that you gave to a beer that you absolutely disagree with now.

 

There were some ratings I tried the beer a second time and disagreed, but I changed the rating afterwards and I'm not sure how I would be able to find those ones

 

Every beer I've ever made and uploaded to untapped has gotten a 5, lol. There is a Wolf Hills Brewing DIPA I gave five stars that going back I'd probably hate. Probably need to dial it back on a lot of the DIPAs I checked in when I was first getting into beer.

Theyre supposed to be at our meeting tonight to talk about it. Hopefully they sample the new Oktoberfest.

 

grad school for three weeks in new york has been super nice to me! it's crazy what bars get up here. went to a hudson valley tap takeover on Friday (surprisingly didn't love all of their beers), but it was so awesome to try so many. not to mention random bars will get delicious finback and grimm and bissell brothers and all these random wonderful breweries. Philly 4eva, but just the vast variety of bars that get so many great beers up here in NYC is insane!

 

Bellewoods is the best Canadian Beer I’ve had but I haven’t had much, admittedly.

 

Sometimes work life is a grind. Then there’s nights like tonight where I get a free dinner/beer on an outdoor patio for the next few hours.

 

I didn't find much beer that I was into when I went to Toronto, Ontario or Vancouver, maybe I missed it haha
