Pastry stouts are where it's at these day. Gonna get my hands on some angry chair soon to see what the hype's about.
Could be worse. This dude here muled $25k worth of Perrin's No Rules a couple weeks back for a Detroit-based beer group. I'm in the group essentially for work purposes but if you ever want to hate beer drinkers, joining a group like this will do it.
Picked up a few new ones to try: Terrapin Mootella Terrapin Raspberry Truffle Wake N Bake Central Waters Peruvian Morning Wanted to pick up some of the strawberry M-43 but it was sold out
Worst is that Detroit beer group was the group that Old Nation invited up to help them make M-43 for the first time so they feel this superiority about it and think that their group is awesome. It's like, nah, you're 35+ year old dudes with kids and wives and dropping $300 on beer just to take pictures of it for your facebook group and shit talking anything that's not NEIPA's. Like they can just go fuck themselves.
Did have The Veil's two year anniversary 24 month kentucky bourbon barrel aged imperial stout and that shit was like liquid chocolate. I also bought this dumb thing (not for $350)
Also! I am not avoiding sending that box, by the way. I feel miserable that I haven't sent it out yet haha. I'm collecting, just slowly.
Haha, no worries. I know the feeling. I owe Steve a box too and keep putting it off due like 50/50 to laziness and waiting for something cool to come out.
@Oddpac87 Take as long as you need, lord knows I have plenty of bottles I need to get through over here anyway haha
Steve I’ll cover your costs if you get Can’t Hardly Wait, Tommy Boy and Billy Madison/Happy Gilmore on Shout Select
Finally made it down to Tree House today. Grabbed some Julius, Eureka with Citra, Lights On, Alter Ego, and That’s What She Said. The Lights On can design is beautiful.
Drinking a blackberry saison by Anchorage. Pretty good. I usually abstain from berry drinks but it’s not too overpowering
