Got some Cilice in my fridge right now. Shit is awesome. Can't believe that didn't blow out in one day. Some friends and I went in together on their Tampa Bay Beer Week Set (Meadeira X, Bourbon Vanilla Susy's Cherry Pie, Bourbon Barrel Reboog Vitis, Rum Barrel Reboog Vitis, and Rye Barrel Reboog Vitis). Can't wait to get that stuff into my mouth!
You can still get the Bangkok ginger & pea blossom one if you know anyone who can pick it up for you: Bangkok - 375 mL
Anyone here ever had a Belgian Dry Stout before? I acquired one of these from the brewery across the street for the game tonight and am interested in what the flavor profile is.
I just learned that I've had a beer made with coffee beans that had been pooped out by a weasel. No, I am not lying. I gave it a 3.75 on untappd
Kopi Luwak, yeah. It's become pretty popular these days. Cigar City makes cleverly named beers using this coffee: Marshall Zhukov's Final Push, MZ Penultimate Push, etc.
Went to the main Stone Brewery this last weekend. Had an experimental batch I was hoping to get a growler fill on but they were out once I was done at the bar. Went with a different IPA. It tasted pretty good but had an AWFUL nose/smell to it.
I'll be in Ohio on Friday for a wrestling show, and we're stopping at Hoof Hearted beforehand. Super excited to finally have some stuff from them.
Greg Koch is a fucking whack job. KEY is on the can he is holding. I get the "stone" part of the can is the largest word on it but I can't take him seriously given all the "WE'RE NOT SELLING OUT" stuff he keeps saying every year. Yeah, no shit, you're one of the five largest brewers in the industry and you're a multi-multi-millionaire. He single-handedly puts me off of his brand every time I see a video of his.
I think he's a completely bizarre weirdo, but Keystone is 100% fucking with their registered trademark
Yeah, Greg always comes off as a bit of a jackass, but I think this is a pretty open and shut case. MillerCoors knew exactly what they were doing. I'm sure it'll get settled quick, MillerCoors isn't going to waste money on a case where they don't have a leg to stand on, especially when it's for a pretty garbage re-brand anyway. I'm glad it happened to one of the bigger craft places that at least has the resources to fight it. Greg's line of "we're not doing this for the marketing" though is laughable.
After watching that video I kind of want MillerCoors to win the case. And people have been calling Keystone "Stones" since they've existed.
My friend just got back from a little VT beer road trip. Made it home with two 4 packs of Heady Topper, and some Flora, Anna and Arthur from Hill Farmstead. What a guy!
Greg Koch should start narrating ASMR videos on Youtube. Is it also heresy to say here that I've had Keystone more in the last few years than any Stone products? It's all one of the guy's in my DnD group drinks. And I can't say no to free beer...
Also this. I’ve heard/called them stones for a while. Doesn’t mean it’s not shitty that they’re doing it but I don’t even know what benefit keystone gets. Stone drinkers aren’t going to be fooled — hell no craft drinker, new or old, will be. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a valid suit I suppose. I guess I let my anti-Greg bias come into play haha.
My dad would completely be confused when he buys me beer at his house, and I don't want that to happen, haha
