Related, I've become obsessed with Equilibrium. They're slowly becoming some of the best in the hop game.
all of the almanac sours are fantastic but this may be my new favorite. the peach notes are just wonderful.
haven't had any of their stuff in cans but I just recently stopped there in November. I was blown away by everything I had, they're killing it.
Interesting news. I've never been a fan of their beers but I knew they were big in the area and never understood why. I knew they were starting to struggle financially when they allowed Night Shift to start contract brewing there since they had a lot of empty tanks not being used. I wonder if more of these bigger breweries are going to start doing similar things where they just spent millions on upgrading and people seem to be flocking more and more to the smaller, more local places.
I think they have a really solid, if unexciting, core line up. They’re a go to for me when I want something that I know I’ll enjoy and don’t feel like experimenting. I do think the amount of smaller breweries on the sea coast like Stoneface and Garrison City that are putting out good product is having an impact. Seems like they expanded at the wrong time with the new facility and restaurant.
That's been my biggest barrier to trying them at all as well. I always see them on the shelves at the local bottle shops around here, and they always look appealing until I see the price tag. Plus the more I hear about their tartness, the less I want to try them, as someone not into super cloyingly sour beers.
