Vermont Ale Yeast? What was your ratios for the grain bill? Hop schedule? Gigantic Brewing. My buddy lived in Portland for 5 years and another one of my friends moved back this year from there and he still gets boxes from his friends and every beer from Gigantic brewing has been a legit 4.25 out of 5 for me. Fantastic beers.
godspeed Breweries Cascade Brewing - Best sours you will ever have, well unless you go to maybe Cantillon or the likes, well worth it. Scout - brand new little brewery that really pushes the bounderies of what a beer can be (check out their beer list online) Great Notion - a bit outside the city bounds, but a really cool spot if near there Baerlic - east side of the river, walking distance from a few other local food & drink spots Culmination - a bit out of the way, but really great spot. Beer bars Loyal Leigon - really fantastic tap list with a TON of taps Bailey's Taproom - A+ beer bar downtown Beer Belly - Insane prices for amazing beer (I had a full pour of BCBS for $3 on Hoppy Hour)
Flying in to Boston actually and going up from there. My brother was at Cantillon today and was kind enough to buy me some bottles. Very grateful.
My coworker hooked it up when he was in VT over the weekend and got me some beer at The Alchemist. Some Focal Banger and Pappy's Porter. I've only had Heady from them so I'm excited to finally try something new, especially to see how they handle a porter.
yeah, I've had that, double sunshine, and super session #2. Might try and stop by craft beer cellar to see if they got any
I heard a bunch of cbc's got them, Marty's in newton, and total wine in everett, and tons more places should by tomorrow. Sadly double sunshine won't be coming here (everything but SoS and Super Sesh are only sold at like 4 stores in VT) but imo those two are not far off from the more hyped small batch stuff.
I saw that last night and excited I hopefully won't have to wait long periods between VT trips to get SOS. I'm hoping they make it to a few places on the south shore/the cape.
Inoculum "Dreamcatcher" is coming to bottles later this month! Very excited for this. It's an absinthe-inspired sour, and will be Inoculum's first bottle release. Details, if you're in the Orlando area.
haha yeah, J Wakefield is def some good stuff. But Inoculum, Nick is a mad scientist in the best way.
Picked up a bottle of Deschutes Abyss and Brandy Abyss today. Was shocked to find a place that still had them. Almost bought the scotch variant too but that would've been way too much money to throw down
Apparently Topping Goliath recently started distributing to Illinois recently. Gonna try to track down a 4-pack of Pseudo Sue on my way home from work today...
Yeah, I missed out on the Abyss haul this year. Made out really well last year with a bottle of each variant they sent to Michigan, but just forgot about it this year.
