While that's true, it's been pretty much all bangers from Paul from '97 on (Kisses on the Bottom aside).
Everyone who says they "lose points" for not being a good live band is insane. Even having not played live in eons, they have such a spark on the rooftop.
I realize it's the Hard Times and not that serious, but I will not tolerate "I Am The Walrus" slander.
Big no thanks to 5 Beatles biopics or whatever they’re doing. Barry does look a bit like Ringo though.
Thoroughly enjoyed the gig last year. We even got a Wonderful Christmastime with a children’s choir on stage for the song.
I'm going to slowly do a deep dive into the Super Deluxe Editions of the albums which have been released and make a few "Best of" playlists. I love all the alternate takes and demos, but the sets are so big they can be a bit daunting. I am curating a "Best of" for each deluxe edition for a friend of mine, so I might as well post in here also after I make them. Here's Revolver: John singing a completely different version of Yellow Submarine, a different arrangement of And Your Bird Can Sing, John's solo demo of She Said She Said, actual speed instrumental of Rain and the band breaking out into giggles among the rest feel like key moments to me
think all i've heard re: super deluxe material is the tentative Get Back sequencing on the super deluxe version of Let It Be. pretty fun listen.
I've listened to all of them once full through, and this second listen full through is where I am going to curate because it's just so much (in a good way). It's really just so cool to hear so many different takes and versions of songs you have heard so long
