Yeah, there's no way Revolver is the contrarian Beatles pick. That one and Abbey Road definitely get the most love. It's probably not as much of the consensus number 1 for the band as, like, Rumours, but still!
If anything, white album is a more apt comparison, but I wouldn't compare anything in the first place
Also the very simple argument for Tusk is: you like Fleetwood Mac songs written at their peak? What if I gave you a lot more of them? It’s not complicated. Haha
Yeah Tusk is a masterpiece. I'm very much looking forward to hearing the Apple Music Spatial Audio version when it gets released.
Rolling Stones working with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr This would honestly be cool if this album actually comes out
Even if it's not a great song, the video was already tugging at the heartstrings a bit. I hope it was a meaningful process for them to make one last thing together, in a way, over the course of those recording sessions from '78 to now.
Seems a little ridiculous to have a reworked 1979 demo advertised as the last Beatles song but I’m here for it ha
I'm just happy that the "AI" used was just to remove a background hum, and not to create John's voice or anything stupid like that.
Yeah I keep seeing people saying 'oh they've got AI to sing John's part' but that isn't the case at all. The AI has just cleaned up the audio to a song that was already worked on in the 90s by Paul, George and Ringo.
