Im an absolute sucker for demos and stuff. Might actually buy this one, some days it’s my favorite Beatles.

 

What these demos really illustrate for me is how much Paul is the secret sauce melodically. The versions of songs without his bass are so drastically different.

i've got a 60's mono pressing of revolver at home. spun it this weekend, just blown away how much better it sounds than streaming.

 

Don't know if @cshadows2887 was ever a fan of Japanese Breakfast, but he's not anymore.

Ya between Revolver being actually maybe the best, Revolver being about as uncontrarian a choice for best as any, and that the Beatles discog has an almost perfect analog for tusk that isn’t revolver, it’s an absurd tweet on at least 3 different levels

 

Revolver and Abbey Road are the only 2 Beatles albums I listen to, typically.

Tusk is the only Kevin Smith movie I’ve seen.

 

It also has some of, if not their best guitar work

also both Tusk and Revolver are some of the best in their respective discographies

Especially because Revolver isn’t contrarian. It’s probably the most widely picked #1 for them at this juncture. I’m not sure what she even thinks is consensus?
