It's always changing, but it's usually between Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Peppers. Right now I'm leaning Revolver. I will say Abbey Road I used to think was kind of overrated, but it's been climbing the last couple years and is probably the one I return to the most consistently (even if it's just for the back half).
My favorite is the white album, but Revolver is definitely closer to perfect. Abbey Road side 2 is the best thing they ever did in my opinion, but even as good as the best songs on the first half are it feels too disjointed for me to put the whole album in my top two.
fuck it, rip the band-aid off 1. Abbey Road 2. Rubber Soul 3. The White Album 4. Revolver 5. Help! 6. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 7. A Hard Day's Night 8. Let it Be 9. With the Beatles 10. Please Please Me 11. Yellow Submarine 12. Beatles for Sale Magical Mystery Tour is probably between White Album and Revolver for me, but not a full collection of songs
I'll bite. I'm also considering the LP version of Magical Mystery Tour with all the singles, not the EP. 1. Abbey Road 2. Revolver 3. Rubber Soul 4. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 5. Let It Be 6. The White Album 7. Magical Mystery Tour 8. Help! 9. A Hard Day's Night 10. Please Please Me 11.With the Beatles 12. Beatles For Sale 13. Yellow Submarine
every album is amazing but 1. Abbey Road 2. Revolver 3. The Beatles 4. Please Please Me 5. Rubber Soul 6. A Hard Day's Night 7. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 8. Beatles for Sale 9. With the Beatles 10. Let It Be 11. Help! not counting MMT or YS because they're not real albums
1. The White Album 2. Revolver 3. Abbey Road 4. Sgt Pepper's 5. Help! 6. Rubber Soul 7. Let It Be 8. A Hard Day's Night 9. Beatles For Sale 10. Please Please Me 11. With the Beatles
regardless: abbey road the white album please please me revolver beatles for sale a hard day's night rubber soul help! sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band with the beatles this always feels cruel to with the beatles, which has so many slappers but is also just please please me 2. magical mystery tour is an EP and let it be is a soundtrack, otherwise it's the worst beatles album by default
Beatles for Sale is often cited as their worst but it clicked for me in a huge way over the past year to me it feels like a last stand for the cavern/hamburg mode of the fabs really rocking out to some of their favorite rock n roll staples also the real beginning of introspective lennon as well as drugs & dylan seeping into their music
I wouldn't call Let It Be a soundtrack. The "movie" was a documentary about the making of said album.
