Rocky Raccoon is awesome. That first thchunk of the electric guitar or bass coming in is so satisfying in headphones. Also the ooooooo Rockyyyyy bgvs...divine

 

Yeah, I definitely fell hard for the myth and mystique of John Lennon as a teenager and I let that color my tastes considerably.

Seeing as I have Strawberry Fields Forever lyrics tattooed on me, I'm kinda ashamed that I didn't even include it in my top 5. It's a close #6 though! haha

 

I also had never realized how many of their quintessential songs weren't actually on albums before.

 

i put rocky in my top 5 and I stand by it. one of paul's best melodies.

 

Dear Prudence and Oh Darlin are both in my top 5 for sure. The other 3 slots though? I’ll have to think hard about that.

i love george but his more spiritual songs aren’t my faves of his

And Your Bird Can Sing is a great pull

I feel like I have to include Let It Be, Hey Jude, and Yesterday, but feels bad because it's all in the same mode of Paul song

I guess round it out with ADITL and Here Comes The Sun

 

I know my favorite is “I’ve Just Seen a Face” but I’d have to think hard after that

 

"Oh Darling" will always be my #1

 

Part 3 of the doc is just incredible. When they lock in and just do take after take after take is just insane

 

Yer Blues is really hitting the spot today, I love the bass tone

 

Incredible documentary. I actually can’t believe it exists and to be honest I wanted to see more. For me it wasn’t long enough haha.

 

how about your favorite album? mine's gotta be revolver

 

It's absolutely not their best, but I honestly probably go back to Let It Be the most often.
