is the bit that Wings sucks? wild life wasn't good and a few songs in red rose speedway is worse. i think band on the run is the only full length from that band I have heard before.

 

Venus and Mars and London Town are much better. Red Rose is fluffy.

At the Speed of Sound is a mix. Paul let it become too much of a real band.

He stopped caring after that record is mostly why. Haha

But he also made "Be Here Now", so...

 

mind games is decent. about half a really solid record. adding some legit new blood in terms of band members helped. the voorman/harrison/white band had grown stale.

Btw I agree with you on Mind Games. Just got it as a Christmas present and listened for the first time in awhile and the title track is amazing. The rest is good. Workmanlike stuff from a great artist.

decided to hop around a bit for the rest, since I hit a stretch of the first four tracks on several albums in a row - including george :( - kinda sucking. I'm not into the production on double fantasy at all but the "stripped down" version from 2010 is very, very good

 

Don’t skip #9 Dream off Walls & Bridges, it’s one of my favorite Lennon songs ever.

 

i didn't skip it. didn't really like that album at all. it was the best track, I guess, but I didn't love it

Can honestly say with some small pleasure that I've never heard of them or that story. Awesome to know there are still great stories to learn.

 

i had heard one song (sub-rosa) on a playlist years ago that a teacher made for me but didn’t spin the album in full until like two years ago or so. it’s not, like, perfect but it has some moments of brilliance

 

sounds like I'm adding their first album to my queue

 

as much as i like this group and going through the solo stuff was fun, I still don't quite get the GOAT argument for them. i don't think they're my favorite invasion group even.
