The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event (Sam Mendes, April 2028) Movie

With the casting news today I figure we have enough to make a thread now.

Directed by Sam Mendes, a first of it's kind theatrical event where four interconnected biopics of each member of The Beatles will release simultaneously. Dubbed as "The first bingeable theatrical experience"

Harris Dickinson as John Lennon
Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney
Joseph Quinn as George Harrison
Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr
Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono
Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney
Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd (Wife of George Harrison and eventual wife of Eric Clapton)
Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey Tigrett (wife of Ringo Starr)

 

Studios strategically plan out release dates so as to not conflict with a film that might be similar but they are going to release four films at once?

 

I thought that was the plan. They are all scheduled for release April 2028. I dunno if they will do a true simultaneous release or stagger them a week at a time, but they will all be in theatres at the same time.

 

I wonder of they will do a thing where Yoko is portrayed like a villain in the Paul/George/Ringo films, but we will get a sympathetic perspective her in the Lennon film.

 

Ringo could possibly suffer the indignity of being the only Beatle alive and his movie doing the worst financially.

 

Ummmm... Paul is alive.

just feels like there is zero chance these will be good but i like the cast
