I haven't had canned sauce in forever, but when i am making my own sauce I always add tomato paste to the pot as I am deglazing with red wine before I add back in my meat and crushed tomatoes. It does make a huge difference.
One thing I definitely do agree with about this season is that outside the 3 or 4 highlight episodes, the other half of the season just kinda blends into eachother.
Can't really blame Jimmy for that when he literally has to sell his house because of the money he's losing on the restaurant. Needed to get it through Carm's thick skull just how dire the situation was. Tbh, considering it's heavily implied that Jimmy at least has some sort of mob connections, it's pretty touching that he loves his family so much to risk financial ruin for his nephew
I would argue it serves both purposes, I don't disagree that it's there to up the stakes for the audience as well
I do love that this show reuses needle drops as like themes for specific moments. Like they will play Refused every time Carmy gets stressed, they'll play The Replacements when Carmy/Claire are having a moment.
I realized the ending of this season was kinda foreshadowed in the season 2 finale when the restaurant only started to fire on all cylinders and run smoothly their first shift after Carm got stuck in the walk in, and Syd and Ritchie started working as a team.
I thought you meant metaphorically for a sec and then remembered that she literally did stab him lmfao. Yeah, it's really cool to see how close they've gotten since then, with her supporting him at the wedding.
Richie voice this is our take on classic chicken tendys, Our organic chicken is fried in duck fact and coated in Zapps potato chips, and served with duck fat fries with avocado ranch and classic french mustard on the side
Two moments in the finale that got me emotional: Marcus becoming one of Food & Wine's Best New Chefs. Carm telling Syd "You are The Bear".
