I think season 3 being kind of bad and the "comedy" awards have kind of killed the hype. There also haven't been any reviews yet, don't know if there's an embargo or they just didn't send it out to reviewers.
Yeah, I feel like Hulu is fumbling the bag on this one, unless they’re really hoping word of mouth is gonna drive this.
It was fine. Faks were funny. The childbirth episode was fantastic. I don't really remember anything else notable other than Sidney thinking about leaving and Carmy self destructing all season
Nothing wrong with S3 aside from the finale being a bit underwhelming. Weird that so many people jumped ship. Good show
Truly think there's just a weird "it was cool to like it, now it's even cooler to be too cool for it" vibe happening with the show.
Go back and watch an episode of season 1 and then an episode from season 3. It's a completely different show. I don't think people are too cool for it, it just got boring/too long/up it's own ass a bit.
I will admit there were parts of season 3 that came off pretentious as hell. I overall liked more about it than I disliked though.
to be clear i didn't ask bc I dislike it now. it is still good, though s3 was the worst of the three and the finale wasn't good. but I still think it's a very good show. the marketing for it, or lack thereof, this year is weird regardless
That's how I feel about it. I still enjoyed it, looking forward to season 4, but I also thought it was the worst season of the show
I do have kinda of a theory of the dislike of season 3 was that some people were more turned off by this show the more fancy the restaurant and setting got. That most average people can relate to working in a shitty sandwich shop (season 1) or rehabbing a business (season 2), but being neck deep Immersed in the the world of fine dining of season 3 was kinda foreign, pretentious, and offputting to them.
I am very curious who they get to play Francie Fak lol Still placing my bets on Rachel Sennott on that one
Rachel Sennott grew up in the town next to me and then moved to NYC and did comedy with one of my now best friends and now is a wildly famous person. the world is weird
