McHale doesn’t receive enough credit for his performance in this show. And like I yeah I get cause it’s pretty much the same like 10 clips shown over and over again as Carm plays them back in his head lol. But damn, who knew the Soup guy could pull off being that fucking mean and intimidating. My heart was racing when Carm approached him at the end
I don't know if anyone watches it, but Dinner Time Live on Netflix (hosted by David Chang is a good watch if you're into food / talk shows and Joel McHales episode on there was hilarious and chaotic in the best way possible.
His most iconic role is basically playing Dan Harmon’s Tyler Durden. Smug asshole is very much in his wheelhouse
recently dawned on me that Jeff and Britta are both in the show and Jeff is a monster and Britta is raising a Swiftie with a sweet dirtbag and that's probably what would happen in Community too lol
The only difference is that it would be both Jeff and Britta's kid from yet another hookup triggered from an existential crisis
I can agree that this was probably the weakest season, however I think episode 1 was my favorite of the series. I think Tina’s episode was the best of the season and the scene with Berenthal was so good. I do wish there was more meat to the plot however the whole vibe of the show is still just as amazing. Cinematography and acting is stellar. Every episode almost did feel like a bottle episode in a lot of ways, the supporting cast hardly ever interacted but I loved the scene with Tina and Marcus trying her dish. Needed more of that. I can see how people might find the Faks annoying, at times they pushed being too much. However, haunting is now my favorite thing ever
people will complain about anything *nominated for comedy awards* “The Bear is not funny enough anymore and therefore shouldn’t be listed as a comedy” *includes humor in script* “This is funny but it’s out of place”
Maybe they shouldn’t dictate their show based on some nonsense awards show that everybody should stop talking about for the love of fucking goddd
I mean, the haunting thing is not really even a well-written joke (or much of a joke at all?). It’s clunky, completely stalls the show multiple times, and is only there to give the Faks something to say on screen. If they added all the haunting stuff because people were saying it’s not a comedy, that’s even worse imo. (It’s not “complaining” to criticize a show’s weaknesses!)
