I just rewatched the first episode. It ends with Carmy starting to open a can of tomato sauce, saying fuck it and throwing it away. Funny now knowing it was full of money
Yeah he had a comment about being confused why they used small cans because the price per ounce is better on large cans
The two times I laughed hardest in this show were this line and the time at the kids birthday party when he talks about the Ghostbusters drink and just quietly goes “R.I.P. Harold”
Just jumping in here to say that this show is great so far. Only 3 episodes in. Feel like I need to be eating when I watch this tho or I'll get super hungry lol
Just finished the first season. Wow! Love this. That seventh episode was so fucking stressful but I loved every second of it, haha. This HAS to get a second season.
I’m doing a rewatch and just finished episode 7 again. Might be my favorite episode of television this year. Barry and Better Call Saul def have episodes that are on par and are even more interesting, but there’s something so visceral about it. fuck. Love this show hope JAW makes out with me
when I worked in the food industry online ordering was the worst. we couldn’t set the times, corporate did so we could get a 15 person order due in 5 minutes. it sucked.
‘The Bear’ Renewed for Season 2 at FX https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/the-bear-fx-season-2-renewed-1235316515/
So I'll spoiler my question but I had a question after the finale... It seemed the money that he found was exactly what was owed, plus there was the whole tax subplot so how was there money to go ahead and open the bear after reconciling those things? Maybe the beef place was sold and that covered the debt and then the cash was kept separate - though it wasn't clear if it was sold or if the same building is going to become the bear? It seemed odd that they were all celebrating being rich and being able to start a new venture, when the money was really only enough to dig them out of the hole they were in... did i miss something? Also the one thing I hated about the finale was no apology from Marcus. Yeah, Carmy was a dick, but he totally abused the freedom he had to create his pastries in the shop by not being ready for the lunch rush. It really rubbed me the wrong way that it was treated as a one sided wronging
All i could think of was that grubhub (or whomever it was) 'feed everyone in manhatten for free' promo that caused chaos like this at countless restaurants.
