I made the omelette a few times, and I love boursin cheese which helps; but I replaced the sour cream and onion chip with sweet jalepeno chips. win
Episode 6 was overly dramatic, it just didn’t let up like we get it they’re dysfunctional. Then came episode 7 and pulled me right back in! Probably my favorite of the series.
Definitely felt relatable to me. I’ve never had a family member drive through a wall of the house lol, but the screaming matches and intimate cruelty conveyed throughout that episode is honestly very real, especially during reunions like that. I get being stressed out by it, and feeling claustrophobic but that’s like entirely the point, and obviously what Carm is feeling, and why he feels the need to escape his family. Might’ve been my favorite episode of the season, though of course 4 and 7 are just as good in a different way.
It was just so constant like every little thing was dramatic or yelling. My family dinners tended to be dreadful but people at least pretend to get along and talk in a normal tone of voice until something blows up. The ending being so over the top kind of pushed it over the edge for me. The show sometimes feels like it has to be stressful and dramatic in every scene which mostly works for a busy restaurant but imo gets to be too much in other circumstances.
If I want people consistently yelling over each other all the time, I'll just watch It's Always Sunny lol
I very much expect it. To be clear, I watched both seasons and loved both. I was mainly referring to Ep 6 and all the yelling - which to be honest, I found it not as stressful as pretty much any of the restaurant stuff. Although I don't have a dysfunctional family so I can't relate lol
Completely agree. It was like the writers room were just pulling clubs from their bag and saying "yep, I've got this shot too."
