Wanting to be a chef after watching this show feels like wanting to do drugs after Requiem For A Dream
I went to high school with a kid who saw the opportunity for the Bob's Burgers cookbook. Got it officially licensed and everything.

I fancy myself a bit of a home chef so thanks to the person who posted Babish in here, I didn't know about him at all and he's got a bunch of great recipes. Looking forward to making the lamb ragu next weekend and going to make the deep dish pizza soon as well.
Watched the whole second season today and I definitely think it was even better than the first, it expanded upon S1 perfectly. The show continues to have some of the most realistic and effective acting on TV along with the most creative directing/filmmaking, it's just so pretty to watch Also this is just the OF fan in me speaking but Lionel is so great as Marcus and it makes me very happy
Took a trip to Chicago last week that had been planned for a while, but the timing of season 2 made me have to try some of the food highlighted on the show. Mr. Beef was awesome and it was cool to see that the inside is actually where they shot season 1. Pretty much as worth it as nerdy touristing can be, absolute must if visiting the city and like the show. Kasama bfast was excellent, naturally had to get the breakfast sandwich with the hashbrown and the mushroom adobo. Unplanned, we also stumbled onto Margie's Candies on the last day of the trip where I wanted that sundae so bad but had just eaten too much to that point for it to have been a good idea. Did a ton of other non-Bear inspired eating over the course of four days there, too, just an awesome city food and otherwise. Apparently, there's a bakery owned by the dessert consultants on the show and they sell the chocolate cake they made for season 1, but timing didn't enable us to get there. Saw they've shared the recipe in at least one magazine, am going to take a crack at it myself sometime soon. Made the omelette a couple times, but I think it's somewhat of a miss for me. I can't really do a proper french om technique wise to begin with, and the boursin cheese/sour cream and onion chip/chive combo is a bit of savory overload for my tastes. Will be stealing the creamy cheese and crunchy chip inspiration in the future, but probably more often less oniony varieties.
I'm sure it's been talked about at length, many many times, but uh Just watched the Christmas episode and holy shit
