It took me way too long to realize Abby Elliott Is a 4 season SNL vet. I watched SNL during her seasons and I still dont remember her at all for some reason.

Also didn't know she is Chris Elliott's daughter.

this might not be as good as succession, but it hits me in the chest way more

 

1/2 way through episode one and it’s already full of quotables

 

my lord this finale is hitting every emotion

 

episode 2 just wrecking me with Sydney & her dad.

that was the first we’d known about her mom, right?

had so many conversations like hers with Carmy earlier in the ep where they’re alking about her dad, then he brings up her mom and she just kinda ignores it/moves right past it.

 

I am the biggest binge watch anti haha, I watch things so slowly in comparison
I can barely handle 5 minutes of Ritchie

if you can't handle richie in episode 7 this season idk what to say, such a winning turn

 

and yeah it goes without saying this would have been so much better spending the entire summer/fall with this

I think show was specifically written to be binged though. All those small details that connect episodes that you probably forget about and miss if you had a week between episodes.

 

what are you basing that on? as of yet, half the show was written for week to week lol

honestly i think the best way would have been what hulu tends to do a lot already, dropping the first three and then going week to week

 

This is not an issue for shows that air weekly though.

 

Great season and the ending was pretty much the exact opposite of what i predicted. Ep 6 was cameo filled chaos, but i loved ep 7 and 8 when things were harmonious and i hated that Richies success was marred by another fight with the family (though sort of self inflicted when not recognizing the moment to push Carmie vs let it be) but still the saddest part of the finale for me, and it was full of sad moments

 

taking the season somewhat slowly. awesome to see episode 4 is directed by Ramy--definitely got Ramy vibes during Marcus' time in Copenhagen. had me googling only to find out the creator of this show directed a bunch of episodes for the actual show Ramy. very cool

 

Regarding the finale

it still bothers me that the show made such a meal out of all the safety checks and standards the restaurant had to achieve, but they were able to open with a walk in that couldn’t be opened from the inside?
