I enjoyed BvS too, and its story problems are forgivable because now all this cool stuff was set up to take off. If none of world they built goes anywhere..........well they put out some flawed movies with rushed story telling for nothing.

 

I watched BvS again last night and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I remembered. It has a lot of flaws but it's still enjoyable. The "Martha" scene is particularly annoying, because I feel like some minor tweaks to the dialogue would've made it come across less ridiculously. It's mind boggling how weak the dialogue is in places.

 

Still love BvS. I would've liked more debate or argument between them to build a stronger conflict. I feel like I got that when Clark met Bruce at Lex's party, but I didn't get enough from Bat and Supes. I also don't really care for this Lois Lane character, which is a shame because I like Amy Adams.

I really hope this Batman movie turns out great and that the bts struggles are all in effort to make it as great as it can be.

 

I've always loved the Martha aspect, but they just didn't earn it. More dialogue between Bruce and Clark was absolute needed.

it would make no logical sense but I really want to see Batman fight the Cloverfield monster

Really hope these are just rumors about him wanting to drop out all together now.

Edit: Ha obviously rumors, but hope there isn't truth to it.

 

Ya I'll wait 'til he addresses it himself, but Batfleck dropping out feels like it'd be the preemptive nail in the coffin for the DCEU.

 

Yeah at that point not really sure what they would even do without that central character. Don't see how recasting would work. Guess we will wait and see how this year goes for the DCEU with Wonder Woman and Justice League.

 

They could easily just flashpoint this nonsense and start over with an entirely new cast. They actually have an easy fix right there.

But I agree, let's see how WW and JL are.

Damn I hope he doesn't drop out, he was the only good thing about BVS.

 

Affleck is my favorite film Batman, honestly it's amazing how great Batman stands in the rest of the DCEU. Really hope this isn't true/he stays on.

 

Whoa, the title of this thread was changed to Matt Revees. I know he's in talks and most likely will direct form what we know, but it hasn't been confirmed yet has it?

 

Yeah......but other more trusted sites (who even have that headline like its a done deal) say they are still in talks in the article. Never heard of that site and its filled with so many ads and little actual info, I'm inclined to say no.

 

If something stating otherwise appears, I'll change it.

 

It's more than likely a done deal anyway, just no contracts have been signed so there's a chance it could still change. No worries.
