Oh fuck. Yeah, Adam West was 38 when he put on the mantle. Kevin Conroy was 37 when he did the first voice for Bats. So, yeah, first Batman I'll ever watch where the actor is younger than me. Launch me right into the sun. That's a real fucking kick to the gut.
Kinda. Bruce is (and is miscast horribly; the one miss in casting) and there's some flashback/hallucination scenes that show Batman.
Speaking of Batman & television, I hope that the Gotham PD series is the "Batman: Year One from outside of Batman's perspective" story I've always wanted filmed, where he exists on the margins but isn't the focus. But, the one scene I would kill to see, if they could get Robert Pattinson to pop by for a quick cameo, is this:
yeah it would be sweet to see gotham adjusting to the beginnings of batman without seeing it from batman's perspective
Reeves confirming that the GCPD series will be a prequel to The Batman made my excitement for that show go up a ton
We’ll see, maybe Reeves is aiming for it, possible studio says no, but Jett wouldn’t put that out there for no reason.
It’s easy to see how it COULD be rated R based on the trailer, but yeah no way WB lets this be rated R
I don’t see a need to make The Batman rated R with the film largely focusing on Bruce. What would be more interesting is if the Gotham PD show is rated MA due to it being from the perspective of Gotham’s corrupt.
Yea..there's really no need for it to be rated R unless they feel the need to riddle* it with gore and profanity, which makes no sense for Batman. PG-13 rating should be just fine.
