I’m not gonna even think about some random podcast information, but I don’t have many thoughts about the casting if it is true anyway.

 

It’s not exciting casting but if true I’m guessing the parents presence is in flashbacks that aren’t necessarily their murder

Or they go full Marc Webber Spider-Man and they secretly survived and have a secret underground subway base

 

Who the fuck is World of Wonder? Who sees that rumored casting and gets stoked on it?

I like Vanessa and Josh Gad enough to like them in those roles.

Keri and Jason are great - but not really who I picture as his parents (fine for me, though). Fuck that other noise. I'd really like something new :/

Just because they're casting the parents doesn't mean this is going to be an "origin story" in the vein of Batman Begins. Could just be like the early years of him being Batman and they just appear in like flashbacks or visions or whatever. I think there's a 90% chance he'll already be Batman when the movie starts.
